Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.

Who is responsible

Alpes ZH Groothandel, Den Haag, the Netherlands, is the controller for personal data collected through this website.

Company registration details (KVK, VAT, EORI) and the registered address are published in the site footer once supplied. Where a placeholder is shown, that value has not yet been configured — it is never substituted with an invented one.

What we collect

We collect only what a business inquiry requires. Through the quotation, mixed-container, contact and supplier forms that is:

  • Company name, contact name, business email address and telephone number
  • Country, and where relevant destination country and port
  • VAT or tax registration reference, where you choose to provide it
  • The commercial content of your inquiry — brands, quantities, packaging, terms
  • Any files you attach to a quotation request

We do not collect special-category data, we do not operate consumer profiling, and we do not run cross-site advertising trackers.

Why we process it, and on what basis

Inquiry data is processed to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quotation, and carry out or prepare to carry out a supply contract. The lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering one, and our legitimate interest in operating a business-to-business trading relationship.

Aggregate usage measurement runs only where you have given consent through the cookie banner, and is withdrawn as easily as it is given.

Who sees it

Inquiry data is available to our sales and procurement staff. Where fulfilling a shipment requires it, relevant details are shared with logistics, warehousing and freight forwarding partners — for example the consignee details needed to prepare transport documents.

We use an email service provider to deliver transactional messages and a hosting provider to operate this website. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Inquiry records are retained while the commercial relationship is live and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and customs record-keeping obligations. Inquiries that do not lead to a relationship are reviewed periodically and deleted when they no longer serve a purpose.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in the footer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

This document is prepared as an operating baseline and has not been reviewed by external counsel. It should be reviewed against Dutch and EU law, and against the law of any market the company actively sells into, before the site is published commercially.
