Beer Export to Ghana

Ghana is one of West Africa’s most established destinations for imported beer, served through Tema and Takoradi. Full containers are the normal shipment format on this lane.

Beer wholesale exports to Ghana

Demand in Ghana concentrates on two groups. Export-strength stout — principally Guinness Foreign Extra Stout — has a long-standing position that lighter specifications do not replace; buyers who substitute Draught for Foreign Extra Stout generally find the product does not move. Alongside it, international pale lager and wheat beer, with 1664 Blanc performing strongly in the premium tier.

Most Ghana requirements ship as 20 ft or 40 ft full containers from Rotterdam, consolidated from multiple brands. Because the lane carries a reasonable transit time, remaining shelf life on arrival matters: state your minimum acceptable remaining shelf life at inquiry stage so stock can be allocated against it rather than corrected after arrival.

On the commercial side, Ghana buyers frequently work to a landed-cost target rather than an ex-works price, which makes the choice between CFR and CIF material. Tell us which term you are comparing against and the quotation can be structured to match.
