The UAE is a controlled-import market, not an open one. Alcohol may only be imported, warehoused and distributed by entities holding the appropriate licences, and the licensing framework differs between emirates. We supply licensed importers and distributors; we do not supply buyers who do not hold the required authorisation, and we ask for confirmation of licensed status before quoting rather than after.

Within that framework the commercial opportunity is substantial. Dubai and Abu Dhabi support a large hotel, restaurant and catering sector with genuine demand for international premium lager, Belgian specialties and Asian brands. Duty-free and travel-retail channels are significant in their own right. And Jebel Ali’s function as a re-export hub means a proportion of cargo landing there is destined onward — which changes the documentation and territorial-rights analysis, since brand distribution rights in the ultimate destination govern, not those in the UAE.
